Seagulls To Be Demolished By Slick City

Manchester City take on Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday at 8pm. Man City sit in 2nd place on 69 points whilst Brighton are 15th in the table with 36 points, eight away from the relegation zone.

Brighton come of the back of a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, an expected result to add to a varied run of form for the Seagulls since the return of the Premier League. Man City come into this game after a 5-0 thumping of Newcastle, a welcome result after their shock 1-0 loss to Southampton.

The head to head record between these two teams in the Premier League is expectedly one sided, with Man City winning all six of their previous meetings in the division. A 4-0 score line was the result when the teams met earlier in the season.

Sergio Aguero is still not available for City after receiving surgery on a knee injury.

Brighton will be without Jose Izquierdo, with Steven Alzate also looking unlikely to return from his injury in this game

This should prove to be a one-sided game in the favour of Man City. Whist I admire the courage Brighton have to play open expansive football against bigger teams, it usually doesn’t lend itself to causing an upset.

Their last game was against the current champions Liverpool and one goal they conceded was in part due to a slightly heavy touch by Davy Propper when playing out from the back, which against one of the best pressing teams in world football usually results in conceding a goal. With City also being a great pressing side, it will be hard for Brighton to get anything from this game, especially considering the 5-0 thrashing City gave Newcastle in their last game.

Score Prediction: Brighton 0-4 Manchester City
